Bird Girl's Backstory
Commonly known as the “Bird Girl,” this iconic Savannah statue is one of four created by artist Sylvia Shaw Judson in 1936. Bird Girl was purchased by a local family, who named her “Little Wendy” and set her up at their family plot in Bonaventure Cemetery. Little Wendy was made famous by the novel and movie, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil", after appearing as the cover photo.
